I didn’t hesitate for a moment before agreeing to become involved in the Discoveries fundraising campaign for the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute (ACRI). Even today, this terrible disease is still shattering lives and targeting people we love, our family, our friends. As a cancer survivor, I am very appreciative of the work done by the ACRI. I know that cancer can be beaten, that there are answers. Research and innovation are helping to find those answers. The cancer research conducted by the Institute brings hope to people battling this disease. Let’s support the ACRI by participating in the Discoveries campaign and giving life a fighting chance…

Cancer research does not have a very long tradition in our region, and the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute (ACRI) is a beacon for us all. In only a few years, the ACRI has carved out a leading role for itself, becoming the largest cancer research centre in Atlantic Canada. Thanks to its unique expertise, the Institute has become a true centre of excellence. The ACRI stands for research, ingenuity, leadership, audacity, but also, hope. By contributing to the Discoveries campaign, you contribute to research aimed at saving lives. I want to thank all of you whose generosity allows the ACRI to continue along the road to success, the road to discoveries that will make our lives better.
