Cancer Research Campaign Huge Success

On May 15, 2008, more than 9.2 million dollars has been raised for cancer research, which will be conducted at the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute. The successful fundraising effort, the first in the ten year old history of the Institute, kicked off on March 28, 2007. A total of 4.7 million dollars was raised from the private sector and foundations and the balance was secured through government research grants.

The goal was to raise 4 million dollars in order to implement the various projects that have been identified as priorities in the Institute’s development strategy.
