Besides the well-deserved pride and joy of having contributed to the development of the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute (ACRI) by contributing to the major fundraising campaign, it goes without saying that the generosity of donors should be recognized and acknowledged in a more concrete fashion.
In order to show its appreciation to all the generous donors to the major fundraising campaign, the ACRI has set up a recognition program based on donation amount. |

Named Funds
A donor may establish a fund in honor of a family member or loved one, who represents a personal story-of courage and spirit-about cancer.
With a minimum commitment of $10,000, you can establish a restricted fund at the ACRI. Restricted funds can be designated to a specific research area or project at the Institute.
A named fund may also be unrestricted and used by the ACRI for cancer research based on where the need is greatest.

Endowed Funds
One of the wishes at the ACRI is to build an endowment in support of cancer research. The money is permanently invested and the principal is always kept intact. Each year, a portion of the income is used to support a research project or the work of a scientist. Building our endowment is essential because it will ensure the ACRI has the ongoing funding necessary to continue its leadership role in cancer research.
Endowed funds can be established for $25,000 and may be named after the donor, a family member or loved one. Donors can establish and contribute to endowed funds using both current and future gifts. Together these funds – some large, some small – provide living tributes to special people that will grow in value and importance.

Fellowship Funds
These are named, permanent endowed positions in support of post-doctoral (Ph.D.) research fellows. Fellowships help us to attract the brightest scientists worldwide to our cancer research team.
Fellowships are important investments in people. A strong fellowship program is key to the research productivity and the reputation of the ACRI. Fellowships require a minimum endowment of $1 million.

Chairs
A named Chair is a full-time prestigious position in support of an ACRI senior scientist. Chair holders are typically renowned cancer specialists who are broadening our understanding of cancer and opening new pathways of discovery in cancer research. Chairs are normally named and are excellent recognition opportunities for major contributors who have made a significant contribution to the development of the ACRI. Chairs require a minimum endowment of $2 million.
